Trailblazing director John Singleton died at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at the age of 51. The family of the director, producer and screenwriter of Boyz N the Hood, said they had directed doctors to pull him off life support after he suffered a massive stroke on April 17. Singleton had been in a coma.
